Namrup College Shines as First Runner-Up in Dibrugarh University Inter-College Competition

Namrup College has achieved a remarkable milestone this year by securing the prestigious position of First Runner-Up in the Inter-College Competition conducted under Dibrugarh University, earning recognition as the second-best performing college in the university overall. This wonderful accomplishment reflects the vibrant talent, dedication, and cultural excellence of our students.

A major share of this success has come through outstanding performances in various cultural events, where our students displayed exceptional skill and confidence. Among them, Taneesha Saikia brought immense pride to the institution by winning an extraordinary 5 Gold Medals and 4 Silver Medals in singing competitions. Likewise, Tarun Kalwar also earned accolades through his impressive achievements in the dancing category, contributing significantly to the college’s grand success.

This achievement has been possible due to the inspiring and energetic leadership of the college principal, Dr. Durga Prasad Gogoi, whose active guidance and encouragement have played a key role in motivating students towards excellence.

The wholehearted efforts of the Students’ Union deserve special appreciation, as their enthusiasm and organizational support strengthened the college’s participation in every aspect. Additionally, the dedicated contributions of the teachers-in-charge, Ms. Kangkana Lekharu and Mr. Punakan Loing, have been instrumental in this memorable journey of achievement.

Outstanding achievement 

Our brilliant student, Miss Taneesha Saikia, has been awarded the Best Singer at the Dibrugarh University Inter-College Competition. Along with her remarkable cultural achievement, her academic background is equally outstanding, as she secured 93% in the Matric Examination 2025. She is also the Best Singer of Namrup College for the session 2025–26.
