Infrastructure renovation of Namrup College

During the month of July 2025, Namrup College undertook and completed significant infrastructural renovations to ensure the smooth conduction of classes scheduled to commence from 1st August 2025. The following key improvements have been made across the campus:

  1. Drinking Water Supply System
To enhance the availability of safe drinking water, the college installed additional water tanks and modern filtration systems. These upgrades ensure a consistent supply of potable water throughout the academic campus and in the student hostels, addressing a vital need for all members of the college community.

  2. Renovation of Academic Departments

    • The ceiling of the Botany Department has been thoroughly repaired, addressing previous concerns and contributing to a better teaching-learning environment.

    • Other science laboratories, including those of Chemistry and Physics, have also undergone various renovation works. These improvements are expected to boost the quality of practical sessions and overall academic performance.

  3. IQAC Office Renovation
The IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) office has been renovated with a new tiled floor, providing a more professional and efficient workspace for quality assurance activities.

  4. Upgradation of Canteen Facilities
Jubilee Canteen (Canteen 2) has been renovated and expanded with the addition of a balcony, increasing its seating capacity and offering more comfortable accommodation for students during breaks.

These infrastructural developments reflect the outstanding commitment of the college administration, who made efficient use of the summer vacation to carry out these essential improvements. Such proactive measures will contribute significantly to a better academic atmosphere and student welfare in the upcoming session.
