The BIS Standard Club of Namrup College conducted an educational exposure visit to Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) in Dibrugarh today on 26th June 2025. The visit saw the participation of 36 undergraduate students, accompanied by two faculty members, Dr. Ankur Nath, Assistant Professor of Physics, and Ms. Khusboo Agarwal, Assistant Professor of Mathematics.
Before embarking on the journey, the entire team was warmly greeted by Dr. Durga Prasad Gogoi, Principal, and Dr. Jayanta Sonowal, IQAC Coordinator of Namrup College. Their encouragement set an enthusiastic tone for the educational tour.
The visit was made possible through the financial assistance and organizational support of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Guwahati division, which facilitated the exposure trip to BCPL. This initiative aims to provide students with practical insights into industrial processes and standards, enriching their academic experience.
The students and faculty expressed their gratitude towards BIS and BCPL for the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the industrial environment, marking a significant step in bridging theoretical learning with real-world applications.
