Namrup College Hosts Felicitation Programme for 2025 Graduates

Namrup College organized a grand felicitation programme on Monday to honour students of the academic session 2024-25 who graduated in the June 2025 results recently declared by Dibrugarh University. The event, held on campus, aimed to provide provisional certificates to the graduates, enabling them to seamlessly enroll in further studies or apply for jobs while awaiting their original certificates from the university.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Durga Prasad Gogoi, Principal of Namrup College, who welcomed all attendees and emphasized the importance of supporting students as they transition to the next stage of their academic and professional journeys. 

The event was hosted by Mrs. Rijumoni Das, Assistant Professor in the Department of Assamese, with Mr. Kalyan Gogoi, Assistant Professor & Head of the Political Science Department and Programme Officer of KKHSOU Namrup Centre, both of them playing a crucial role in managing and coordinating the event. The programme saw active participation from faculty members, non-teaching staff, alumni association dignitaries, student union representatives, and current students.

A total of 44 students were felicitated by the college authorities, with each department extending their best wishes and recognizing the students’ successful completion of their degrees. 

In addition, the KKHSOU Namrup Centre conducted a separate felicitation ceremony for 16 learners who completed their Master’s degrees through the Namrup College centre.

A special highlight of the programme was the felicitation of Dr. Chabi Gogoi, Associate Professor and Head of the Assamese Department, who was honored by Dr. Durga Prasad Gogoi and her colleagues in recognition of her appointment as Vice President of the Cultural Committee of Axom Sahitya Sabha.

The event was further enlivened by a series of cultural performances, including singing and dancing by both faculty and students, adding a festive spirit to the occasion. The felicitation programme not only celebrated academic excellence but also recognized cultural achievements and leadership within the college community, fostering a sense of pride and motivation among all present.

The programme was wound up with a vote of thanks speech delivered by Mr. Kalyan Gogoi.
