In alignment with the IQAC action plan for the academic year 2025-26, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Namrup College successfully conducted a hands-on training programme today from 1:00 PM onwards. The session focused on the formation of departmental websites/blogs using free tools available on Google.
The primary objective of this initiative was to empower departments to develop their own digital platforms for sharing relevant information, thereby benefiting both students and faculty members. By creating departmental blogs/websites, the college aims to foster better communication, resource sharing, and academic collaboration within each department.
Additionally, the programme sought to equip teachers with modern digital skills essential for preparing study materials and facilitating self-learning beyond the traditional classroom environment. This digital empowerment is a significant step towards enhancing the teaching-learning process in the college.
The technical session was expertly conducted by Dr. Jayanta Sonowal, Coordinator of IQAC, with valuable support from Dr. Ankur Nath, Assistant Coordinator of IQAC, Namrup College. Their guidance ensured that participants gained practical knowledge and confidence in utilizing Google’s free tools for website/blog creation.
This proactive training reflects Namrup College’s commitment to integrating technology in education and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation among its faculty and students.
